Dear all,
I was always more of a Windows guy, but having bought a netbook to have it
handy whenever I travel and to feed my geekiness I decided to try out some
of the netbook adopted linux distributions. Out of all great
implementations, Moblin managed to impress me the most. While it is still a
quite young platform, it already provides an amazing experience with the
device its on: nearly instant boot time (speedy SSD drive helps) and overall
OS-wise integration of the applications like browser's favorites on the
M-Zone, one media center for all the photos, music and videos on the system,
Web Services that will potentially help us bring things like Facebook and
Youtube on our netbook screens, are something that has never been done
before in a whole.

Having said that, I would like to thank you for all the work you've done
and, maybe, suggest a possibility for further evolution. Nearly every major
Linux distribution achieved success
only because it had a wide community of users and developers willing to
contribute. Intel successfully took care of it by investing into a
development of a great product, setting up a webpage (www.moblin.org) with
blogs, mail lists, IRC channel etc. My suggestion is just to take it further
with the implementation of a forum and a dedicated Wiki.

Me and a couple of friends would like to offer our help to Intel with this
task. Whether we should host it on our own or make it a part of
moblin.orgdoesnt matter. Main idea is that we should have a
centralized place for the
information on how to setup and configure, troubleshoot and customize our
beloved Moblin.

Please let me know if you are interested in participation.

Regards,
Oleg
