ok, ill bite... i have a toshiba netbook nb205, one of the newer models, installed moblin 2.0, wireless is questionable, it does work but continuously re-associates interrupting connections, most likely fixable. Over all its all nice, however my biggest pain is there is 0 sound.digging around since im not a big fan of fedora/suse rpm based distros, i came across ununtu netbook remix, which also worked well but again no sound, digging further i found some patches, and a slight mmodification to alsa.conf which did enable sound fine. i went further and found that the kubuntu netbook remix Alpha5 worked fine out of the box from both the live cd and installed on disk. heres the issue, i dont like the kubuntu netbook remix gui, ubuntus netbook remix was a fight, but did finally work, ubuntus moblin remix i think is in stages of development and the one i tried was a bit buggy, with no sound. All Id like is to get sound working on this unit using moblin and id be satisfied. however the "patches" for alsa.conf and kernel i found dont apply seeing as there is no alsa. Can someone work thru getting sound working on this unit with me so i can get off windows 7, which by the way does run flawlessly. And as a side note, have you guys considered using the skype-uic version and including it in the builds. its got a nice interface for small screens. thanks in advance. Great UI keep up the good work. _______________________________________________ Moblin dev Mailing List [email protected]
