As far as I'm aware there is NO systray or notification area in Moblin as it 
stands now.  I believe there is a discussion as to whether something needs to 
be implemented or not.

One temporary fix is that you disable the minimise to notification area and 
just have the app open in a zone on its own.

I would assume the Liferea I installed from 'Moblin Application
Installer' is compiled against moblin's desktop.
However, since you mentioned it, I have downloaded source and compiled
