hi, thanx abdelghani. Out of curiosity 1) Why do netbooks need a different OS? 2) Linux can run on anything so why not Linux? 3) In this multi-core world why do we need netbooks? 4) Being a CS student I am very curios about the architecture of netbooks, can anybody please give me some good papers or links? Google is giving me a lot of unwanted stuffs(http://www.google.co.in/search?hl=en&q=architecture+of+netbooks&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B5_____enIN337IN337&ie=UTF-8).
I apologize if my questions appear too noob. Thank You shan http://shankhs4u.blogspot.com ________________________________ From: Abdelghani Ouchabane <[email protected]> To: shan chak <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, 1 October, 2009 6:34:35 PM Subject: Re: [Moblin Dev] moblin image 2 large for CD shan chak wrote: > >Thanx >Abdelghani I will try moblin from USB.But at some point of time I will >also like to install it then???If you can tell me some tutorial on how >to install moblin safely then I will be highly grateful. >>- shan > >http://shankhs4u.blogspot.com > Hi Shan, to install it on USB stick : http://moblin.org/documentation/test-drive-moblin/using-moblin-live-image Under Linux machine : 1 --- Download the Live Image 2 --- umount <usb-drive> 3 --- Download image-writer program 4 --- chmod a+x ./image-writer 5 --- ./image-writer <image file> Cheers, Abdelghani > > > > ________________________________ From: >Abdelghani Ouchabane <[email protected]> >To: shan chak ><[email protected]> >Sent: Thursday, 1 >October, 2009 4:40:06 PM >Subject: Re: [Moblin >Dev] moblin image 2 large for CD > >>Hi shan, >> if you boot your main system from USB, this will not affect your hard >drive at all...
