Your boot order in eeepc 100 must point to to the usb HD as the the first drive
to boot. You can set this by going into the boot menu at start up ( probably
F1, F2 or F10 key). If that still does not work, re create the boot image with
win32diskmanager again. sometimes the image might not have been written right.
It has worked for me with acer netbook and a couple of other pcs as well.

Good luck

jay

Subject: [Moblin Dev] how to make .img boot from usb on eeepc

Hi,

maybe someone can help me, as I'm spending the 2nd day trying to test drive
moblin on an eee pc 1000h,
trying to boot from a maxell 4gb usb drive.
everything is fine, I proceeded as described at the page, transferring the
.img with win32disk imager to the empty,
formatted usb. the netbook keeps booting win xp, as if nothing would've
happened, not recognizing the drive.
(it is in the correct slot, the machine recognizes it when plugged. now I
think I understood that the drive
must be bootable (i thought transferring the image with win32diskimager
would do this automatically.
the famous hp usb storage tool cannot be found anywhere.

this is a lame problem i admit. maybe someone cares to help me.
thanks in advance.
