connman (the moblin connection manager) has a builtin DNS proxy. 
/etc/resolv.conf
should list `nameserver 127.0.0.1`. Make sure that the local dns server is
working. you could for instance test it by running `host google.com localhost`. 
if
that fails, something got messed up somewhere.
