Hello, I've been watching this mailing since the early 2.0 release. I haven't seen a mention of my problem.
I am running Moblin on an Aspire One ZG5. I just did a clean install of Moblin 2.1. Before that, I had been running 2.0 for a couple months or so. My problem is that every time I do a fresh boot, I can not click any of the icons on the top bar. I can click things on the "My status" panel. But once I do that, my mouse clicks no longer appear to register through to any application. When I was running 2.0, I would ctrl-alt-backspace to kill the X server, then I would log in through the console and type '/usr/bin/uxlaunch' to restart the X server. This would allow the panels to behave as expected. Sorry if any of these details are innacurate, I am reciting from memory. It appears that DontZap has been activated in the X server, and I can no longer ctrl-alt-backspace. I can still hit ctrl-alt-f1 and log into the console and use 'ps' in conjunction with 'kill' to restart the X server. Once the X server is restarted, then I am able to click normally. Additionally, my touchpad and corresponding buttons are only capable of sending left-clicks. If I plug in an external mouse I can right and middle click. How can I disable "DontZap", I want to be able to ctrl-alt-backspace to kill the X-Server. I would really like to alleviate the aforementioned problems altogether but i am not sure where to start or if anyone else is suffering from the same symptoms. I apologize for the length of this message, but I hope it has enough info to be of value. Thanks for the wicked OS. Sincerely, Jade Lacosse. _______________________________________________ Moblin dev Mailing List [email protected] To manage or unsubscribe from this mailing list visit: http://lists.moblin.org/listinfo/dev or your user account on http://moblin.org once logged in.
