Folks, Just want to make sure that calling shutdown, makes sure that unwritten data in RAM gets written to disk.
Like if I am editing a file, and saved it, and lets say data is still not written to disk. Now if shutdown , how does the data in RAM gets written to disk, at this point, is this taken care of by the block driver for the disk, or is it taken care by linux kernel subsystem. Please let me know.
