I don't know whether or not Ubuntu's own version includes Broadcom, but the Karmic Moblin remix is a lot newer than the Jaunty one... recent images are always at: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-moblin-remix/daily-live/current right now it's showing the released Karmic one (Oct 29).
