Our "variant" is a custom conglomeration - 90% is stock Moblin 2.1 with the remaining bits being either drivers / customised packages particular to our hardware platform, or additional packages not distributed as part of Moblin 2.1. Previously, we used a Moblin 2.0 user-space, along with the IVI kernel that included the necessary patches enabling IEGD support. In terms of hardware, the same LiveUSB image runs on our custom platform and Dell Mini-1[02]. > I can get the IEGD 10.2 drivers to work fine on my Dell Mini 10 (not > 10v) under an install based on moblin-ivi-gnome-20090819-001.img. > However, I cannot get X to work for more than a few seconds without > crashing on an install based on moblin-2.1-final-20091103-002.img. All of our testing has been with custom "distilled" LiveUSB images, which include IEGD packages pre-built in a Moblin chroot development environment. I cannot speak to functionality on installed versions of any of the moblin or moblin-ivi images. > [The problem may be the version of the X server. I haven't (yet) tried any of the Moblin UX bits, outside of ensuring that the libraries are included in our images. > [Just in case it is of interest to anyone, I see a four-fold improvement > in performance (as measured using glxgears framerates) when the hardware > acceleration is enabled on the IVI installation.
