When you go to that link, it says:

"NOTE: You must read the LICENSE.TXT file in the lib directory before using 
this software."

Which says amongst other things:

2.5.    Ownership.  Broadcom shall retain all right, title and interest, 
including all intellectual property rights, in and to the Software.

About as proprietary as you can get...
