the Moblin kernel does not compile with ICC, and if you make it compile, it does not actually run well. I would suggest not doing this. Hi, I'm sure Arjan didn't mean to cast icc in a poor light as we both work for the same company and Intel invest millions in the compiler technology :) There are instructions on how to do this at: http://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/compiler-moblin2-kernel-sources-with-intel-compiler/ That said, this process isn't for the beginner compiler user/kernel dev because use in this matter is not really supported. There are a few compatibility issues, etc. There is a group, linuxdna.com, that is trying to make the process of kernel compiles as easy as possible.
