Its about that time I think, to get the axistools plugin out of the
sandbox and in the hands of people that use it some more.
I would like to release it as a 1.0 release.
What is has:
wsdl2java support for axis 1.2
java2wsdl support for axis 1.2
There are two mojo's in the plugin, one for each of the above. There
are three ways that I know people have been using it:
1) wsdl2java in generate-sources
2) java2wsdl in process-classes (to generate a wsdl) based on compiled
classes
3) wsdl2java in a subproject dependent on a project that java2wsdl
executed in and processing off of the wsdl embedded in that jar
What I would like to save for future releases:
- latest 1.3 axis release
- latest 2.0 axis release (refactored plugin structure should support
this nicely so there will be one maven plugin for all of axis web
services)
- increased support for downloading referenced xsd files and
processing locally
I know there is a fair amount of work involved with adding these new
versions and xsd support but I would like to get the quite useful base
that exists now into release land.
