That seemed to change. Brett should comment on this. I recall that plugins that start with maven (maven-xxx-plugin) went in the maven code base and mojos were to be converted to swap the naming conventions (xxx-maven-plugin). I thought there were some emails floating around on that subject. I am sure Brett can clarify if that is true or not.
