Holger Brands commented on MOJO-284:
------------------------------------
This would be very useful.
In addition, it would be nice to consider other properties as well, e.g. like
filtering resources, where placeholders for properties are replaced with
concrete property values.
e.g. in your POM or profile you have:
<properties>
<myprop>myvalue</myprop>
</properties>
In JNLP file you reference it: ${myprop}
Use case:
specify descriptions, vendor, vm args or other properties for the JNLP file
(optionally depending on different profiles)

> I would like to put the version number of our application in the JNLP file.
> Is it possible to reference Maven variables from the velocity template? I
> would like to do something like
> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
> <jnlp codebase="$$codebase">
> ...
> <resources>
> <property name="version" value="${project.version }"/>
> </resources>
> ...
> </jnlp>
> or
> <property name="version" value="${maven.project.version }"/>
> It would be great if this was possible!
