I am not able to link the issues, but there is an XMLBeans JIRA project at
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MXMLBEANS, and supposedly MXMLBEANS-19 has
fixed the issue for release 2.0.1... they just have not gotten around to
releasing it (2.0.0 was released on 2005-12-08). The xmlbeans-maven-plugin POM
in 2.0.1-SNAPSHOT does in fact depend only on stax-api-1.0.1, and not stax
itself (apparently unnecessary), which will resolve this issue. Just waiting...
