I'm having trouble recreating this issue after deleting my local repository. It
seems something (deploy plugin?) was writing the maven-metadata-local.xml file
with timestamped versions in addition to qualified versions. The latest
timestamp is from 07/25/2008. I'm thinking something was released in the last
couple weeks that stopped inserting the timestamped versions.
