I'm not using the plugin so I'm +0.
I think the change is ok, but you should create a branch first for anyone not
using maven 2.1 who might still want to fix bugs in a 2.0.x compatible version.
From JIRA it looks like you are close to a 1.1 release, so maybe the svn
branch would be for 1.x, and the maven 2.1 requirement would go into a 2.0
release of the plugin?
