Folks, We have fixed a critical bug in animal-sniffer which would prevent its use in projects which ahev dependencies. I would like to release a new version of the animal-sniffer suite incorporating these fixes.
Animal Sniffer consists of: * a CLI utility for reporting the Java version used to compile java classes * A set of ANT Tasks for generating and checking API signatures * A Maven Enforcer Rule for checking API signatures * A Maven plugin to generating and checking API signatures * A Java 1.5+ annotation for marking code which safely references classes from newer APIs The new sites have just been deployed here: http://mojo.codehaus.org/animal-sniffer-maven-plugin http://mojo.codehaus.org/animal-sniffer http://mojo.codehaus.org/animal-sniffer/animal-sniffer http://mojo.codehaus.org/animal-sniffer/animal-sniffer-annotations http://mojo.codehaus.org/animal-sniffer/animal-sniffer-enforcer-rule http://mojo.codehaus.org/animal-sniffer/animal-sniffer-ant-tasks http://mojo.codehaus.org/animal-sniffer/java-boot-classpath-detector Snapshot have been published on http://snapshots.repository.codehaus.org/org/codehaus/mojo/anima-sniffer -maven-plugin There are currently no open issues in JIRA This vote will be open for 72 hours and will use lazy consensus. [+1] release it [0] don't care [-1] don't release! Thanks, Stephen P.S. Here is my +1 Release Notes - Mojo Animal Sniffer - Version 1.5 ** Bug * [MANIMALSNIFFER-4] - Just about everything reported as an Undefined reference * [MANIMALSNIFFER-5] - animal-sniffer: Bogus debugging spew to stdout
