Latest snapshot build (20100615) stopped working with Maven 2.0.10

Since the lates 1.3-SNAPSHOT build (20100615) I am getting the following error
message:
[ERROR] BUILD ERROR
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] Error resolving version for 'org.codehaus.mojo:gwt-maven-plugin': Plugin
requires Maven version 2.1
I don't find it very good to suddenly require all users to upgrade to a new
Maven version that does not work in our environment. This forced me to
effectively "downgrade" to version 1.2 losing some new features that I really
want.
