The current version is of the maven-compiler-plugin defined in the mojo-parent
is 2.2. With version 2.3 the source and target values have been set to 1.5 as
default value (see MCOMPILER-80).
Since the mojo-parent reconfigures these values to 1.4 it's safe to upgrade to
the most recent version. This means every mojo is still responsible for
settings the source and target if it's not 1.4, just as always.
