Jesse Glick closed MNBMODULE-71.
--------------------------------

       Resolution: Won't Fix
    Fix Version/s: 3.4

As of revision 12732 the long description is taken directly from
{{pom.xml#//description}} by default, and the short description is the first
sentence of the same according to {{BreakIterator}}. This should be adequate
for most users.

If your needs are more elaborate, then as Miloš described, you can customize
{{Bundle.properties}} yourself.

> updatesite manifest contains two tags:
> * OpenIDE-Module-Short-Description
> * OpenIDE-Module-Long-Description
> Actually both contains ${pom.description}. We can keep that for short
> description, but for long description it could be fine if you can paste
> content of an external file (for example src/main/nbm/longDescription.txt)
> Because long description is displaying into plugin manager when we select a
> given plugin and more data (and more dynamic data) could be interesting (for
> example we could generate (or append) longDescription.txt from JIRA issues
> ...)
> Regards
> Christophe.
