There is currently no way to tell the {{versions:display-dependency-updates}}
goal to filter the list of artifacts that should be checked for updates.
It seems relatively simple to make it use the same artifact filtering as the
goals that update the poms by changing the parent of the
{{DisplayDependencyUpdatesMojo}} to be {{AbstractVersionsDependencyUpdaterMojo}}
Attached is a patch that allows filters to be used with the
display-dependency-updates and several integration tests that test the
functionality works as expected.
