stephen samuel commented on MVERSIONS-176 Auto-increment POM versions in the 'set' goal I used that today, and it works well. Couple of niggles though that I might have to change. For example, in a multi module project, it tries to execute the goal for each submodule and then complains because it's already updated it as part of the parent project.
