I submitted this issue when I only very briefly worked with DITA OT and the plugin. I've meanwhile come to the realization that it's probably DITA OT and/or Ant that don't adequately report the result. What happened to me a lot was this:
1. Build documentation
2. Open PDF
3. Build documentation
Result: java.io.FileNotFoundException: ...\filename.pdf (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)
But when I run just DITA OT under the same scenario, the ERRORLEVEL is still set to 0, and it says BUILD SUCCESSFUL.
Maybe this one is up for closure.
