Fully agree. I'd say we can easily let him commit and do the first 2 or 3 
releases together with him on IRC. 

Btw, are there up2date docs for the codehaus release process? I always loosely 
followed our ASF rules regarding this. And I did not ship a codehaus release 
since quite some time :/
