Hi Stephen,

Makes sense perfectly! I`ll get in touch as soon as I have something to show
off.

Thanks,
Peter

Subject: Re: [mojo-dev] requesting contribution right - replicating existing
nodes` data with a goal

I suggest starting by submitting a patch via the issue tracker... after a few
nice well structured patches we get fed up applying them ourselves and petition
the developers to let you in the cool gang.

Traditionally we don't let people we don't know in without them demonstrating
some merit somewhere

Hi there,

I want to create a goal for the cassandra-maven-plugin which replicates another
node`s data onto a local instance of cassandra, managed by the plugin.
This would be very handy for my daily development work and maybe to other
people too.

My current plan is that the goal would make use of the existing nodetool to
create snapshots of a remote cassandra node`s keyspace(s) and populating the
results onto the local instance. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

Please do let me know if you could provide commit/contribution/whatever rights
to me so I could make this functionality available to everybody who needs it.

Thanks and best regards,
Peter Somogyvari

P.S.: Sorry if this is the wrong list, I wasn`t sure about it.
