Stephen Connolly closed MANIMALSNIFFER-36 as Not A Bug Sniffer does not find unused variable of a violating type If the variable is unused, then the bytecode will not include a reference to the variable, and so animal-sniffer will correctly report that the bytecode does not use the API class that is not in the signatures.
