I have created and attached a patch which resolves this issue. I added an optional parameter "importOnlyFromJSDependencies" which defaults to true (current behavior), but when it is set to false, all transitive dependences (of all types) are traversed to find dependencies of js types wherever they may be in the dependency tree. Again, this is based on the 1.0.1 svn repository.
