You could include in the JavaDoc that the workaround is to use your own template.xml, i.e. by use of the templateFile parameter. Perhaps simply a link to this report so that people find the recipe for workaround? I'm working on an enhanced template.xml file that can be used as as drop-in replacement for the existing one (fully backwards compatible) while at the same time allowing lots of (optional) customization ... things that today would require to use a your own template.xml file. Using your own template file is not for everyone. I've found that it requires rather deep knowledge of NBI and Ant (yuck!). Therefore I think it would be better if the standard template.xml file was very flexible. Stay tuned.
