You are right, that would be nice. Maybe we can have those added someday. 
(Maybe people would like to create examples and submit them to JIRA as 
improvements?)

Here's where I think the confusion comes from: Originally, Tomahawk was *not* a 
separate add-on. Myfaces Core and Tomahawk were one tightly knit product that 
included both a JSF implementation and the extensions. They have since been 
decoupled into separate products with their own (semi) independant release 
schedules. 

So those 1.1.1-examples that you are seeing? These are the same 4 sample 
projects (which have since been updated of course) that are now called the 
Tomahawk examples. It's just that at the time, Tomahawk wasn't released 
separatedly. I don't think we have ever  had an examples artifact that was 
devoid of any references to Tomahawk components. (Someone please correct me if 
I am wrong)
