If you are building an spi interface you want a clean and stable interface,
that's for sure. Do we have choice here? Unfortunately no, that's the point.
So, after thinking about this, I have realized that we can't go too far in the
future, thinking how things should be done and instead I'm trying to choose a
proposal that can be as simple as possible, without enter in too many details
that later we probably will change in future versions of JSF. In that way we
minimize the impact of a possible change. That's the reason why I prefer #1
instead of #5, because #1 can become more flexible in its implementation.
Agreed, please commit #1.
