Werner Punz commented on MYFACES-4522:
--------------------------------------

I will roll the 2.3-next codebase then down into 2.3. I am not sure if browsers
older than ie9 have any relevancy whatsoever nowadays in our user base.

If someone complains then we still can roll back the old codebase or fix the
complains with some small shim layers.

The code is the same, next just has dropped a ton of ie 6 and older specific
fixes and later I have introduced a hard ie9 baseline due to an api used to
improve the code.

Thanks for the clarification. 2.3-next into 2.3 it is then!

> We have had a ton of fixes in the old codebase which made it so far into
> 2.3-next and 4.0
> however given that 2.3 still is in active development we should sync those
> changes back into the 2.3 branch. Given 2.3-next and 2.3 share the same code
> on JS level, a simple diff should suffice instead of cherry picking every fix.
> I will make a single commit under this issue for 2.3
