Whenever you perform a firmware update with the newtmgr tool over serial or protocol over BLE, part of the process involves a reset where the image banks are swapped which takes maybe 15 seconds or so to complete.

It seems like a valid usability improvement would be to have a default fast blinky active when this flash update is happening (on BSPs where an LED is available), since it can be VERY tempting for users to unplug or reset the boards mid update when it appears that they aren't being responsive for several seconds at power up? A clear default visual queue that a flash update is happening would likely avoid a number of issues when devices start to get out into the wild???
