Hi all,

in order to select the right platform for my attempt to bring Apache PLC4X to
the embedded world and to create a MyNewt integration module, I created a table
with all the development boards listed in the “bsp” section and tried to gather
the information I could find on the boards to compile a table you can use to
compare the different platforms.

I think after going through the schematics of 62 development boards I now
should be pretty much equipped to go purchasing some hardware.
I hope I got most information correct as I have to admit the differences
between the specs of the MCUs and the specs of the boards were sometimes quite
big. Also was I not always sure if all features were correctly listed in the
dev-board specs. For example Nordic nRF52832 MCUs seem to have a built in
ability for AES encryption, however this was only mentioned on one or two of
the boards, so I’m not sure if it’s disabled on the others of if it’s just not
explicitly listed up.

But as I know that I manually had to click through the list of devices on your
start-page several times now, perhaps this list could be an interesting
addition to your website? It took me more than 24 hours to compile this list. I
know it would help people like me to get started … cause in the beginning for
me it was totally frustrating to not be able to compare the different platforms.
