SubComponents in IZ (SBA)
Inspired by the resorting of the subcomponents of the l10n component (by ER) SBA showed how he would like to see such a restructuring of the subcomponents within the UI area There was a deep discussuion about special cases and how they fit into subcomponents SBA mentioned that a correct handling cannot be expected by every submitter. The resorting should assure that issues with a correctly set component/subcomponent arrive at the responsible person initially. This will save residence time and work but it can never be a waterproof system. Finally the correct owner and the correct target is the “ultimate instance”. During the meeting it became apparent that all components need to be checked to get meaningful subcomponents within all places.

Responsibilities within the Sun QA team (SBA)

After making clear that manual reassignment of issues will be necessary in future there was a demand for a resposibilities list within Sun QA to allow OpenOffice.org QA members to exculpate those 'default' owners. Nobody was aware of the fact that there are people like MRU who need to dispatch most of the Writer issues because he is the default owner of most of the Writer subcomponents. SBA told Jaqueline that at least most of the most active OOo QA members will get such a list from himself

Survey

The meeting was really productive for all of the attendees
The relation to the community has been deepened and prejudices were solved.
There should be more of such meetings regarding l10n and QA and there should be meetings with other native language teams as well because not every native language community can take part at OOoConf with so many people
