Well, honestly as of correctness you may be right. I think it is
required for the authentication data to be fetched from .m2/settings.xml
at the end it is going to go to the –DnexusUrl=https://repository.apache.org
As your password is from LDAP it is the same in either case, so it
should work. Though these are my assumptions only.
