+1 Attempts to copy from an external source (Outlook/Word/Web-page) and paste into NetBeans also do not work at times.

A plain copy only works inside NetBeans. Attempts to paste into Word or Notepad++ do not work and nothing shows as available to paste if the source was NetBeans. I have learned that Cut works so now I Ctrl-X and then immediately do Ctrl-Z to restore the text in NetBeans. I can now paste the text anywhere.
