Hi,
I'll send the message to the plugin portal authors now.

Hi Matthias,
I agree that it's not a good idea to separate these notification e-
mails depending on primary/secondary authors. We certainly want to
inform all authors. As for the text it could be something like the
following:
_______________________________________________________
Subject: Check your plugin with the new Apache NetBeans version!
Hey %1$s,
have you heard of the new Apache NetBeans version on the horizon?
Yes, the NetBeans community is going to release version %4$s soon! In
order to have your great plugin(s) available on the NetBeans Update
Center also for users of the new version please consider testing the
plugin(s) with the latest RC build and possibly submit new
verification request(s) via the Plugin Portal website.
Your plugins:
%3$s
Direct link to the list of your plugins:
%2$s/plugin/list
Thanks for your contribution and ongoing support!
Apache NetBeans Plugin Portal Administrator
P.S.: Please contact [email protected] mailing list for any
questions.
_______________________________________________________
I hope it makes sense. Please note I have introduced a new %4$s
variable which would contain the latest NetBeans version - perhaps
identified by the greatest ID. Also please consider expanding the
value of %2$s variable to point to the My Plugins page instead of the
homepage.

Hi again,
I merged the update and put it into production. A preview message
was
correctly delivered to my mailbox.
@Jiří: when you tested you already seemed to have some message in
mind.
Would you mind sending it? I suggest to not limit the recipients
and
send it to all authors. The numbers are not that high, that we
really
need the distinction.
Thank you
Matthias

Hi,
I implemented an e-mail sending option for the plugin portal.
This
should allow us to inform current authors of the plugin portal
about
new NetBeans versions being available for verification.
@Jiří: You are still listed as verifier in my test portal, so you
could
have a look at a working implementation:

The PR for this with a Screenshot can be found here:
https://github.com/apache/netbeans-tools/pull/53
I'd like to get an opinion on this.

Hi,
Just setting up the infrastructure for NetBeans 16 in advance
of
16-rc1. Please can we have an endpoint for NetBeans 16 plugins
as
soon as possible?
Can we, perhaps, start with automatically verifying everything
from
NB15 this time too? It would be much better for testing
release
candidates.
Thanks,
Neil
