At least that is a way for me to remember it. Like the old star trek movies, the even numbers are the good ones. Prepared a PR which moves upper bound for build and (some) testing to JDK 25. https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/8482 Planning to integrate it some time after build 22 of JDK 25, since we seem to hit an already fixed javac bug. > >> - NB 29 would update to nb-javac 26 but would also bump >> the min build and run requirement to JDK 21 >> >> is this correct? > I just realized while looking at the schedule in another context, that > this should be the May 2026 release, so NB30, that requires JDK 21 for > build and run. > > At least, that's what was agreed. As long as everyone knows when it happens its all good. NB 29 will test on JDK 26 ea, but this does not have to mean that it also moves the lower bound of the build and test requirements (to JDK 21). Given the state of the tests (https://github.com/apache/netbeans/issues/7871), it is going to be a multi step process anyway. best regards, michael > > Best wishes, > > Neil > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org > For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@netbeans.apache.org > > For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: > https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists > > > --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
