My opinion (sorry for the delay): the converted repo is still big but I think it's small enough not to cause any trouble. Hell, it's about 3Go less than the current mercurial one. And as you said it's below 1Go.
So I think we should keep NetBeans in a single repo. @Emilian Good work with the import by the way.
