Yes. It looks like the Incubator will not accept software grants with
conditionals going forward, as they complicate things unnecessarily.

In general I trust people.

But when it's a big organization on the other side I'm much more
cautious. People leave companies, new people come in and they
sometimes have different ideas and might be missing some background on
how to interpret things that happened in the past.

It's the same on our side - five years down the line the NetBeans PMC
might be different people, and if for some reason they need to go back
to what's happening now the history needs to be documented.

That's why I insist on this donation and how it is handled being clean
from a formal point of view - which would have been easier without
conditionals in the grant, but that's where we are now.

It is *not* a lack of trust in the people who are involved in this now
- it is with a view on the future where different people might be
involved on both sides.

As you mention, a semi-automatic check of the donated files is possible.

Hope this clarifies my point of view. I'm just one mentor here, if
others have different opinions they are welcome.
