Quite right and eloquently put, Scott. If people don't want the feature-set of JDK9 continue using NB8.2. For those of us who want the feature-set (in particular HTTPClient) of JDK11 we need NB11 sooner rather than later. We need it to work with the OpenJFX11 modules in Maven central (which NB9 does not do) the day OpenJDK hits 11GA.
