Hello, Just saw an edit on https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Apache+NetBeans+Release+README which mentions:
> Modify updates.xml.gz file of previous release to contain <notification > url="https://netbeans.apache.org/download/index.html">Apache NetBeans IDE 9.0 > is available!</notification> element in its <module_updates> root element. This is something interesting to me as I never knew we can notify users like that through the autoupdate catalog. This means that previous major version users are expected to install the new version entirely, correct? There's no upgrade between major versions. (Which I don't believe we ever had with NetBeans, but it just made me wonder.) --emi --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: dev-unsubscr...@netbeans.incubator.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: dev-h...@netbeans.incubator.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
