Team, Please see [1], a proposal for introducing a new “Connector” extension point. This abstraction is intended to allow more of a self-service type of approach for users who want to use pre-built flows and are not the appropriate target audience for the full power and complexity that NiFi brings. This introduces a new extension point that allows packaging a flow and exposing configuration options but is much more powerful than Versioned Flows with parameter contexts are today, as they allow for code to dynamically build and manipulate the flow as necessary, while also providing a “flow-level” abstraction that can be more powerful than the single-component abstractions that we have today.
