Jake Certainly. We used what was a very solid service wrapper previously that is not compatible with Apache. So now we're sort of feeling our way through how best to tackle this. It is our intent that folks on most OS's the the JVM supports can fire up NiFi and do good things including full legit service integration.
It will take us time to get there and if there are folks in the community with good ideas around how best to do this in Java land we really need your help!
