Bryan,
I would forgo the 'nifi-' prefix personally. We go back & forth a bit on this 
with our artifacts, admittedly. But when you use a Maven archetype you'll be 
specifying the groupId as well as the artifactId, and since the groupId would 
be 'org.apache.nifi' I think in this case the 'nifi-' prefix is redundant.
