@syermakov - Thank you for your contribution to this discussion. We can do both i.e. installation scripts (for the user), and also have the full build in Maven like @aradzinski mentioned. But as @aradzinski correctly (in my opinion), pointed out, it would be a pain and additional technical debt each time we need to verify something etc. So far, the consensus from what I have read is the following 1. We all (now) agree on conda. 2. We are divided on what do about the scripts i.e. the way the installation should proceed. So for this request, what do you (all) recommend that I work on (apart from fixing all the issues I mentioned in my last comment) for this given task? **My recommendation:** We first put everything to download/install and build in Maven (as it is for this pull request) and like @aradzinski mentioned. And we also open a ticket to create fully functional scripts **after** this has been implemented. In that way, we could possibly have the best of both worlds. **For me (technical task right now)**: Currently this pull request won't work on Windows and I'm in the process of trying to fix it.
