Sebastian Nagel commented on NUTCH-2334: ---------------------------------------- Hi [~roannel], I think now with the AND and OR voting strategies I understand the motivation why to have multiple "voters", e.g., also select those items with a score exceeding a certain threshold, or of a specific domain, etc. But I still wonder whether plugins are required: a plugin comes with a certain overhead in the build system and for activation - a lot overhead when only a single method (shouldFetch(...)) needs to be implemented. Of course, using plugins you get maximum flexibility, but wouldn't be a scheduler applying a Jexl expression on URL and CrawlDatum sufficient for most of these decisions? Just one suggestion, another is to allow multiple schedulers to be defined in {{db.fetch.schedule.class}}. > Extension point for schedulers > ------------------------------ > > Key: NUTCH-2334 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NUTCH-2334 > Project: Nutch > Issue Type: New Feature > Components: generator > Affects Versions: 1.12 > Reporter: Roannel Fernández Hernández > Assignee: Roannel Fernández Hernández > Priority: Minor > Fix For: 1.16 > > > With an extension point for schedulers, the users should be able to create > new schedulers that meet to their own needs. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
