Hi, I just tried building the sim:nsh configuration on a Macintosh, there's a couple build errors due to missing APIs (eg. "timer_create" doesn't exist). But I can't reproduce the "mcmodel" issue you're encountering.
Could you elaborate on the configuration you're using? As an alternative to the simulator, I would recommend you using a development board with a debugger and a serial console. I'm currently using this setup on a M4 Mac.
